WHZJU Holds Sino-Africa Genetics and Ob-Gyn Practices Webinar
On Oct.16 2021, Sino-Africa online genetics and ob-gyn practices webinar was held at WHZJU. Professor WANG Hui, the president of Women’s Hospital, School of Medicine Zhejiang University, gave an opening remark and introduced the hospital. The webinar brought together physicians, researchers, educators and students from China and Africa to share their insights on new progress in genetics in human reproduction and hypertension, birth defect prevention and fertility preservation for patients with breast cancer. Over 30 participants attended the webinar. WU Liuyin from International Affairs Office of Women’s hospital hosted the meeting.

Muhuza Marie Parfaite Uwimana, a Rwandan researcher, introduced the medical status and development in Rwanda.
Professor Yiping Shen delivered a speech on genetics in human reproduction.
Associate Chief Physician LIU Aixia delivered a speech on recurrent spontaneous abortion.
Associate Chief Physician ZHANG Xiaohui delivered a speech on strategy and practice in birth defect prevention in Zhejiang, China.
Attending Doctor ZHOU Jun delivered a speech on fertility preservation for young patient with breast cancer.
Ntezimana Jean Nepomuscene, an academic staff of medicine and health science in University of Rwanda, delivered a speech on understanding the role of genetics in hypertension.
The both sides had an in-depth discussion about the speech topics and exchanged their opinions.
